In the movie The Wind Rises there are a series of undeserved misfortune. One of them is Jiro Horikoshi's dream of becoming a pilot but he has poor eyesight. Then it's Japan's Great Kanto Earthquake. Worst of all is his wife dying at the end of the film.. Good movie though.

For a film
I would steal the story of A Child Called It. That is definitely undeserved misfortune. The film would consist of a young kid being psychologically and physically abused by his/her parent. The parent is always beating him/her verbally and threatening "it" of being in deep sh** if he/she tells anyone of the parent's mistreatment. The film would also include the kids mental side of being oppressed and threatened. I would also make sure the film has a happy ending. Not like the continuation of The Lost Boy.
